Founded in May 2018 by Santi Alaysius and Hamphrey Tedja, DMDIO is the sister company and more playful counterpart of Domisilium Studio. Working across product, furniture, and exhibition design, the studio approaches each project as an opportunity to question expectations, test new ideas, and turn curiosity into tangible form.

While Domisilium Studio focuses on large-scale interiors and spatial environments, DMDIO develops concentrated collaborations with brands, manufacturers, and artisans. These partnerships create space for experimentation, from exploring unexpected materials and rethinking familiar forms to developing design solutions with a clear point of view. In 2020, Irvandynata Rifai joined the studio as Product Designer, strengthening its capabilities in product development, furniture design, and exhibition environments.

DMDIO works with established and emerging brands to create exclusive collections and product lines, guiding ideas from initial sketch through final production. Its process combines imagination with practical knowledge of materials, manufacturing, and production, resulting in work that is distinctive, functional, and made for the real world.

Together with brand partners and local manufacturers, the studio transforms concepts into finished products while supporting Indonesian craftsmanship, developing local talent, and highlighting the country’s manufacturing expertise through original design.

Collaboration remains central to DMDIO’s practice. Grounded in Indonesia’s rich culture of making, the studio brings together different disciplines and perspectives to shape a contemporary design language that is experimental, locally rooted, and open to the world.
