Sura Collection by Lumikasa

Sura collection is a graceful and proud figure that derived from the shape of a shark. This contemporary form is gentle yet captivating at the same time with mysterious curves. The name Sura is inspired by Javanese phrase of “Sura Ing Baya” which translate to “bravely facing danger”. The origin of the phrase dated from Kediri kingdom in 12th Century, where there was a prophecy that predicted the battle between a giant white shark and a giant white crocodile in the region. Today, the region is known as Surabaya, which is the second most populous city in Indonesia. The tale of the two animals is being passed from one generation to another and become the city symbol.
